Colour fiend that I am, as soon as I saw this fabulous yellow stool-come-magazine rack in a bathroom feature in this months Living Etc, I wanted it!
Designed by Karim Rashid, I actually remember the Magino Stool from when it was first released in clear acrylic, as it won awards and accolades, but the yellow is a new version and I personally much prefer it!
I would use it as side table with integrated magazine rack – Living Etc actually had it in the shower stall. Mind you, for £150, it may need to multitask its way around the house…

We actually have Ikea’s Trollsta side table in yellow. Alas it’s not acrylic fantastic, or in the Magino’s sexy shape, but mixed in with more expensive pieces, it actually looks rather good with its curvy legs and retro French mustard colour. It’s also available in black although that, in my eyes, would be rather ‘safe’.
