A couple of summers ago we purchased a barbecue in a hurry from one of the big DIY stores (I forget which one) which subsequently died a death and was a bit inadequate, so we decided when we were having a party last summer to buy ourselves this stylish number from Purves.
For a start, it’s square and low so it doesn’t look like your conventional BBQ and is described as a ‘designer firepit’ and looks very cool when it’s blazing. The main part of it is made from steel and the legs are stainless steel, and it’s got a double grill and protective fireguard. We picked ours up in the summer sale at Purves and they’re temporarily out of stock at time of publishing this, but you can buy them from Keen Gardener for £149.99, although it will cost you a tenner more.
