The Papered Parlour

So I’ve found another independent craft venue (I’m currently very overexcited about my impending visit to The Make Lounge) that I’m probably going to take a class at – The Papered Parlour. Based in Clapham (handy so I can meet up with the girls afterwards!), the classes are hosted in a studio decked out as a parlour.

They have a five hour course, Making a Dress, coming up in October, which is taught by one of the UK’s top pattern cutters. She’ll teach the ropes of pattern cutting, stitching and finishing and you’ll go home with a lovely dress. They also do silversmithing (currently sold out), knitting, photography, and screenprinting, plus you can have parties there too. Staying true to the ‘make do and mend’ outlook, they make use of recycled materials wherever possible, so all rather cool! Classes range from £50-£165.

Not sure if you know that we do parties, too – very popular for hen dos and birthdays, too!

@Jennifer Hehe… I already have you earmarked for when I eventually become a bride ;-)
@Kat I got a great book on screenprinting by Lotta Jansdotter. One day when I get some time back in my life….
