Finnish company Seimi’s Peti cot-come-bed-come-sofa has been around for a few years, but as transitional, multifunctional children’s furniture goes, it’s still a firm favourite. Brilliantly adaptable, the whole piece is used in its entirety no matter which mode it’s in. In cot mode, it’s got a storage space underneath, in cotbed mode the storage is a drawer, then there’s toddler bed mode where they can get in and out themselves, then onto full on bed mode, and then beyond six years old it can become a sofa.
The base is made from birch, it’s got wheels on the bed for easy mobility, and it comes with an allergy tested folding mattress. You can choose between three different fabric colours for the panels plus there are two drawer colours to choose from.
It is definitely what I call an ‘investment piece’ at £999.99 although it has a long lifespan in the home with the sofa easily being able to take up residence in a playroom or sitting room.
