Whilst having a general browse over at Anthropologie I spotted this Glasswing Bedding set and immediately started trying to justify to myself purchasing it for the spare room! It’s simply stunning. I love the colour way, and the wings image repeat. The price tag hurts a little though. The standard pillowcases are £68 each, which seems a little overpriced when the double duvet cover costs just £138. Anyway, it’s on the ever expanding wish list!

My last post for this week is another hot buy from Nest favourite Hunky Dory Home. ‘Don’t Sweat The Small Stuff’ is something I’m sure we all need to remember sometimes! This design has been screen printed by hand in black ink in a vintage style font onto 270gsm Mist paper. It’s dimensions are 23.4 x 16.5 inches. I for one love it. £18 unframed.

Ship ahoy! Check out the latest wallpaper from Mini Moderns. It’s just launched, and I for one am LOVING it. It’s called the Whitby and is available in four new colourways:Washed Denim, Awning Red, Stone and Lido. It’s part of the Day Tripper collection – which salutes British culture. The wallpaper comes in 10m x 52cm rolls printed with water-based inks on paper from sustained forests. It’s 45 a roll, and is available ‘soon’ from their shop. I just need to decide where we can hang this!!

I spotted this beauty over at The Sleep Room and it immediately caught my attention. Its simplicity is stunning. It’s made of oak, with vintage bronze finish metal legs. I am on mission bedroom at the moment, and this certainly would fit the bill but the £225 price tag means I’m going to have to be very, very, VERY loving to the other half!

Just spotted this little lovely over at Hunky Dory Home. It’s great for coats and the like, but I am thinking it will also look great for me to hang my beads from! I can also see them looking very much at home in bathrooms and the kids rooms. A cute all rounder! Available in petrol blue and black and only £8. Click click.

Busy household? Lots of appointments? Well how about investing in a Black+ Blum Time square. The clock, chalkboard and magnetic board all in one. I know this would be no good for me, I’d forget to update it and get terribly confused, but if you’re a little more organised it could be very useful. I see more potential for it in the home office then anywhere else. You can grab one from Kiwi Funk for a little over £50. Great space saver.

Perhaps a little extreme but definitely gets the message across! The print and colour way has been inspired by vintage matchbook art. It’s made form heavy cotton, and has a hanging loop. You can grab this from Ruby Roost for £9.95. This has gift written all over it …

Thanks to Lucy’s hot spot over at Bambino Goodies, I have just found myself going through every item on Club Geluk. It’s items for the home (and the kids) made of funky prints packed with colour. Favourites of mine include the lampshades and tea cosys. Prices are great – they starts at as little as €6.50 but note that shipping is €9 to the UK. You won’t find these items elsewhere as Club Geluk design their own fabrics. Super cool.

I felt a surge of shopping palpitations when I read in April’s Living Etc that Diane von Furstenberg is launching her bed linen collection in Selfridges next month. Of course I hastily made a beeline for t’internet and was gutted to see that had I made it into the home section at Bloomingdales when I was there a few weeks ago, I could have lovingly stroked and maybe accidentally on purpose purchased some. Think mesmerising colour bursts, batik-esque prints, bold graphics and…cough…matching prices – it’ll be £105-£379 at Selfridges from April 1st.

Following on from my post about my Red Room, there was a bit of a buzz on Twitter about my beautiful wallpaper (It’s called Daydream by Julia Rothman) and about the virtues and wonders of painted floors. Believe me when I say it’s a very cheap alternative to other floor coverings.
So I’ve been on the hunt, and came across these beauties:
1 – Painted blue striped floorboards. Source: House to Home.
2 – Fun kids painted playroom. Source: Ohdeedoh.
3 – Repeated pattern painted floor. Source: Cerise Pink.
4 – Butterfly painted floor. Source: UK TV
5 – Pretty painted stairs. Source: Conversation Pieces
6 – Classic off-white. Source: Living Etc.
Look great don’t they, and although mine has a few scuffs and scrapes now, I feel it adds to the charm. My pal has hers painted black, and they look fab.
I for one, am a fan. Your thoughts?
