ORIGAMI BOOK HOLDER

Inspired by the ancient Japanese art of origami (I went through a phase of being an addict as a child!), I’m loving this recipe book holder in brick red which is part of The Conran Shop’s Well Considered range, which is chock full of quality, well designed, stylish pieces that won’t bust your budget. Made in India from a single sheet of iron, it’s £15.95.

ferm LIVING Owl Wallpaper

ferm LIVING Owl Wallpaper

I think my owl diet is well and truly over as I have been clocking up owl finds all over the place both here and on Bambino Goodies. When the girls move to their bigger bedroom, I could be very tempted into this owl wallpaper by Danish superbrand Ferm Living, which looks like even I could hang it as it’s Wallsmart which is designed for easy hanging where you paste the wall and butt the edges. £58 per roll at Cloudberry Living.

Available in various colourways and sizes including baby blankets and sofa throw sizes, they’re part of her Fest Collection which was woven in the iconic Dutch Textile Museum and are made from mohair yarn. Prices range from £127.50 – £427.50 – ‘investment pieces’ for sure! Available from Wannekes. Lust: Moleskine Covers for iPad and iPhone

by Natalie on October 21, 2010

moleskin ipad cover

If I’ve never mentioned just how much I love my iPad, then be in no doubt, I love my third child, who I regularly fall asleep with. However, although there are lots of note keeping apps for the iPad, I still use the same ‘ole Paperchase notebooks I’ve always used but it’s all a bit clunky. Until now. Moleskine have designed what they call hybrid tools which is basically an integrated cover and notepad with two sizes suitable for iPhone 3G and 3GS and one for the iPad. Continuing with the same famous aesthetics, the covers have rounded covers, the familiar elastic band, leather cover and suede lining. It’s saying pre-order on Amazon where Moleskine point customers to but it ‘seems’ to be available at Waterstones for £65 for the iPad version. However patience will pay off if you wait for Amazon where the iPad cover is £48.75 and the iPhone is £29.99.
