I’m heavily reliant on my Brada laptop support from Ikea which becomes my impromptu working surface around the house so I can’t help but look lustfully at the Overlap Tray by American designers Offi which would certainly be a serious upgrade at £99 a pop. Made from moulded ply with wood veneer and cork, they’re available in walnut, as well as birch and oak.
The great thing is that they’re solid (mine is table with squishy adjusting surface and no bells and whistles), can be plomped on surfaces around the house, and there’s plenty of arm space, drinky space, and it can be used by kids as a drawing surface too. My laptop table can’t do this…I’m selling the idea of owning one of these to myself quite well…. A very nice Christmas present, especially for peeps who work from home and keep having their parents coming to stay in their spare room come office…hint hint… From Nubie
