I think the last time I was in BHS may have been some time back in the 80s, but I must nip into the Oxford Street branch and check out their lighting. My eyes immediately homed in on the ‘spun’ table and floor lamps (£96-£200) which remind me of some of my favourite lighting, the ‘spindle’ lighting by Habitat. The big steal though is the oversized white Mikko floor task lamp (£200), as spending some serious G’s on a giant Anglepoise 1227 is out of the question, well for some of us anyway…

One of the things I’ve always found to be good at Bhs is their lighting section, so definitely worth a look.
