I’m turning the virtual cobbles upside down trying to find cool bedding for a toddler bed for Twitter mate @hunkydoryhome and it’s becoming like searching for the Holy Grail… Basically, a toddler bed is in between a cotbed and a single bed and if I’m to believe a number of dimensions quoted, it should be 120 x 150 cm. Of course, there doesn’t seem to be many options with a number of ‘twee’ finds that have had me close to breaking out in hives…
Anyway I digress…
Whilst getting rather overexcited at the large Marimekko section at Scandinavian Design Centre, I spotted the wonderful Karkuteillä children’s bedset and had a momentary swoon! Featuring three animals on the run from the zoo including an elephant in a pair of funky black boots, it’s a contemporary design in an exciting colour mix. Annoyingly it’s 120×160 but, hey, what’s a few cm’s in the name of some killer cool?
Oh and it’s 73.40€ – God I miss the days of the strong pound….

My advice here is to either use a single duvet or a cot size. The one on Milla’s bed is cot size and will fit her for ages to come but if you have a bigger todder I would go single and tuck it in all around. Or, if you’re handy with a sewing machine just adjust a single set – have just done this for another mate.
I was close to tears looking for cot bed sized bed sets as they are all super GAK!
