I spotted the Joseph Joseph Big Blocks on a jaunt in Heals last summer and one quickly made it into our kitchen (the green on the left) as I am a colour freak. I’d been flip flapping about a chopping board for ages but couldn’t make up my mind on a wooden one and as always, I do like things to be aesthetically pleasing so I can make buying a fork a lengthy process!
Anyway, I was immediately attracted to these because they’re lovely and heavy, yet made from tough plastic – high density polyethylene. This makes them the toughest plastic chopping boards around at twice the density of your average plastic chopping board.
They’re lovely and smooth as opposed to the texture you get on the cheap chopping boards we all owned back in uni, and you can use it for all types of food, plus you can put it in the dishwasher. They have 4 little silicone feet on the underside to make them non-slip.
Aside from black and green above, there’s tangerine, white, and a lovely sea blue.
Love it! Available from Design To Please for £24.47.
