The boyf and I have been on the lookout for the perfect bedside table for ages, and yet for me, it turned out that it was downstairs in our sitting room!
We’ve owned a couple of three tiered Componibili Storage Unit’s in white for about 18 months and after the bambino took to hiding important things in them and we failed to make the most of the storage in our sitting room, I took one and made it my bedside table.
Designed by Anna Castelli Ferrieri for Kartell, these are design icons that have been in production for over 30 years and are even exhibited at the Museum of Modern Art in NYC.
I love ours because it’s so adaptable. It can literally go into any room in the house giving it a timeless, multifunctional use. You can get them in a range of colours – silver, black, red etc although they can be difficult to get hold of. Prices can really vary but there are almost always deals to be had so shop around. We paid £45 each for ours although I have seen them for over £75. You can of course also buy them as 2 units instead of 3 also.
