Well I am back from a little break from Nest – during which I got hitched and went to Mexico for my honeymoon. Happy days.
I’ve come back to some fabulous gifts for my own Nest including a Trim Phone, some rainbow mugs (one in each colour!), Emma Bridgewater trays and biscuit barrel, vintage styled laundry box, a new Le Cruset pan set, a lovely new duvet and lots of other bits including John Lewis vouchers and cash … which has mostly gone on a new washing machine as ours gave up just before we wed. Grrr.
I’m finally starting to decorate downstairs … step 1 is a wooden floor installation in the hallway and lounge by Forrestal Flooring (who I totally recommend after using them in my old place). Wooden floor has become a necessity what with Lola deciding throwing food on the floor is great entertainment. We’re also starting the front room – the adult room – which my new husband has agreed will be red. I’ve been bombarding him with photos of red rooms and it’s worked. He’s even suggested we go out on Friday to grab a sofa for the said red room! Hoorah.
And I am finally getting round to finishing Lola’s room – which I hope will be cool enough to feature on Bambino Goodies Room Tours! Watch this space!!

I’ve been out today spending more John Lewis vouchers, I have those stripy doormats I featured a while ago too. My home is finally getting a colour injection!
