I’ve been a fan of Hereford based store Berry Red for over a year now as they have a brilliant collection of homewares from an eclectic group of makers and designers. Anywhere that sells Rice.dk is bound to be cool, but they’ve got plenty of other delights such as these to die for owl door stops in African prints by Catherine Tough. Between the felted eyes and feet with button pupils and noses, my eyes were on stalks when I saw them. OK, admittedly I haven’t got a door that I need a stopper that warrants shelling out £35 for it, but I am in adoration nonetheless!
For something that’s in a bit more of a ’steal’ territory, their 100% cotton Indian seat covers will look fabulous dotted around the floor as cushions or livening up your dining chairs and are a tenner each.
Their sale section is quite Christmas heavy which will suit the super organised that buy up for the next Christmas. There are, however, some non festive bargains including their ‘Daisy’ salad bowls which are £10 down from £19.95. One to bookmark, Berry Red have got homewares, soft furnishings, toys, garden gear and vintage furniture, and it’s definitely great for nabbing pieces that will have people saying ‘Where did you get that?’
