I’m going to start putting up pics of my sewing and DIY projects rather than just alluding to them. I shall take some more photos of these when I’ve tidied up the bedroom (and found the camera which I’ve misplaced in one of my handbags so had to use my phone!) but obviously, after all of my moaning about unused African fabric just sitting there in the spare room, the boyf has accepted that I have a far better use for them and that African prints are a hot trend! I learned how to make pillowcases with Lotta Jansdotters Simple Sewing and amassing quite a collection!

Hi Natalie -
Great pillowcases…and your boyf is right, African fabrics are trendy right now, though I’ve always used them for home decor & quilts. You might like my 5-Minute Table Cover, made in mudcloth from Mali, West Africa:

Hi Lisa – Oh it’s me that’s right! The boyf loves the fabric but didn’t seem to think it was ‘appropriate’ to be used for homewares. He’s sold on it now though. Thanks for sharing your blog – some great pics there!
