Grown Up Bean Bags

by Claire on May 10, 2010

When my other half saw a Fatboy Beanbag on A Place for Everything he got very excited. He declared his love and demanded we get one for the games room (I’m calling it the office but hey ho). As much as the Fatboys are great in contract environments, perfect for the abuse they may get from little people, and the outdoor version is great for the garden, they’re not really what I want in my office / games room. I want something a little more grown up. And there are a lot of grown up bean bags out there.

For example, good old Amazon has some gaming bean bags which are quite cool and resonably priced. The chocolate one pictured costs a little over £50 and the cream faux leather just £39.99. Gaming Bean Bags

But I want something a little different, so was excited to find this beauty from Etsy seller Metamorphosi.

This one not only looks good, but it’s a bean bag with a cause. This was created by the mothers involved with a charity in Brazil called ONG which help kids to study and offers them food and creative activities. 70% of sales go back to the woman and to the school. It costs $160 USD plus $20 shipping to the UK. I like. A lot. Decision made I hope.

And just one more item I’d like to draw your attention to as it caught mine, the Lojo Ball. The concept is fab lets hope the manufacturers will think about using some other – less patriotic – fabrics soon but with this style outside. They cost in the region of £100 (John Lewis).

Now to convince him indoors….
