I came across the Foscarini Caboche Floor Lamp whilst browsing Made in Design. They are the floor lamp versions of the gorgeous Caboche Lamp range from Foscarini and are designed by Patricia Urquiola and Eliana Gerotto.
Caboche Lamps are composed of ‘spheres of transparent polymetylmetacrylate in a concentric layout‘. This multiplies the brightness of the central light source.
Now I love the look of these floor lamps, but they are not cheap. The smaller version costs £1,053.00, the grande upwards of £1,600 so definitely a splurge item. I think I’ll add them to my ever expanding ‘when I win the lottery list’.
