Beetroot Storage Stools

Aren’t these Pleciaki Storage Stools fabulous little find! These functional storage stools are ideal for stashing all your stuff away – yeah okay, could be toys, but we all own ‘junk drawers’, or a drawer full of cables and what have you …. (please don’t let on if it’s just me!), and if you’re a knitter, these would be brilliant to store your bundles of wool in.

The design is polished inspired – as is everything on the Beetroot website - but they’re made of old newspapers, so they’re ecological too. The cushioned seats are folk inspired. I am a fan. They cost £95 each.

Aren’t these absolutely divine. They’re 18 inch screen printed cushions designed by Sarah Jane Guest, who came to my attention via twitter.  Sarah uses colourful, rich fabrics in striking prints which really are different to a lot of the cushions on the market at the moment. I for one am loving them. Prices range from £79  to £85. I can’t decide which is my favourite!

Another Etsy find. Sukan creates hand embroidered, fabric cushion covers which are too cute. There’s loads to choose from, she has 236 items in her store. Prices are from a tad over £15 to £90+ (but they’re for the hand embroided grass linen cushions). The cushions shown are from £35.25. Cute eh.

Helen Minns lampshades are quite frankly, divine. They’re hand printed on natural cotton / linen which has been woven in the UK. They’re available in four different sizes, and in a number of different colour ways, some neutrals and blue and red. … I’m drawn towards the blue and red. Such a great way to add a splash of colour.

They’re beautifully designed and made by Helen, but if none of these take your fancy or match your decor, a bespoke service is available. Oh, and a flocked option. Hubba.

The smallest shade is £50, and the prices rises to £108 for the flocked version. A bespoke shade starts at £200. Helen also does a range of cushions, stationary and mugs. Definitely worth 5 minutes of your time. Check her out.
