A little while back I featured my Brada Laptop Support from Ikea (I’m using it right now) over on Bambino Goodies, and I’ve now come across the Bosign Lap Tray which is the considerably more expensive alternative from Sweden that also acts as a breakfast tray.

So what’s the difference between the two other than over £28?
The Brada Laptop support (left) is functional, no frills, albeit fairly attractive style. It’s shaped like a moon which is handy for me as it slots in around my bump. It comes in white with a beige pillow or the black colourway pictured.
The Bosign Lap Tray is shaped like a typical breakfast tray and is available in several sexy looking designs from plastic trays to plywood versions with wood veneers with red, black, or beige pillows for contrast. It’s a slight lip all the way round it whereas the Brada is completely flat, plus there is a little space to slot your cup/glass into or even a saucer. The plastic for the table on the Bosign is a smoother, definitely better quality of plastic.
Both use the same concept of a table attached to a detachable cushion which adapts to whatever surface it’s placed on for stability, although the Brada offers a little pocket on the side which they suggest is for a phone or MP3 player but to be fair, you wouldn’t get your average phone inside the pocket or bigger iPods so for me it’s a redundant feature.
Ultimately which one you choose comes down to budget and what you’re using it for. Hands down the Bosign Laptray is the style winner and it offers more functionality by providing a dual purpose of breakfast tray. But…the Brada Laptop Support whilst basic and functional is fantastic value.
