Jaysus, I nearly deleted an email newsletter from John Lewis as I went on one of my clean my inbox out fests but as the screen indicated that it was heading for the trash, my eye caught a glimpse of the iconic Anglepoise 1227 lamp and quickly got it back in my inbox!
To mark the 75th anniversary, there are limited reproductions of the original design now on sale for 3 months exclusively from John Lewis. Using a sequence of springs that cleverly move easily in every direction but remain rigid when still, with aluminium arms, metal joints and a weighted base, the lamp is both highly flexible and supremely stable.
