A couple of my best bargains for my kitchen are from Jamie Oliver’s range (I got a casserole dish and lamb roaster for less than £30 a few years back which was about a third of the price) so I was bound to get excited when I spotted a couple of the cast iron pieces reduced by a whopping 60% in the House of Fraser sale.
The 16cm gratin dish (now £12, was £30) plus the same size stewpot (now £20, was £50) with lid are in earthy colours that will work well in a trad kitchen as well as a more contemporary kitchen with retro leanings. Or, you may not give a monkey’s about the colour of your cookware but you love a hot bargain!
